We are very excited to announce the launch of the St. Mary & St. John's Youth Choir - the newest community choir in Summerside, and the only youth oriented community choir.

We invite youth ages 6-14 to join us every Thursday evening for an hour of musical instruction and practice. If you are a youth older than 14 and are interested in joining, please let us know!

The choir's director, Sandra Gereau, is an choral and organ professional who has played, sang, and taught all of her life. Sandra moved to Summerside from Fredericton a year ago, where she had been involved with the Choir School at Christ Church Cathedral, and worked for 30 years as the Organist and Choir Director at St. Peter's Church, Fredericton.

This choir aims to provide youth with a solid foundation in musical theory and choral singing with no prior experience required - any youth with any musical experience (or none!) is invited to participate. The choir's repertoire will include a broad mix of both sacred and secular pieces.

Practices run from 6:30 - 7:30pm every Thursday at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Summerside (233 Church Street). Parents and guardians are welcome to stay for the entirety of the session.
